Presentation
The Architecture Student Contest is an international competition based on Saint-Gobain’s vision of sustainable buildings . It was first organized in 2004 by Saint-Gobain Isover in Serbia, and became an international event in 2005. Today, it attracts more than 1,360 students in 33 countries.
The competition is a great chance for architecture students to gain professional experience while discovering the importance of sustainability in modern construction. The success of your project will depend on the ways in which it enhances the health and wellbeing of your building’s occupants while reducing the use of carbon, energy and resources.

The Trophies, a Unique Creation
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Architecture Student Contest, new trophies have been designed by Saint-Gobain to honor the winners of the International Stage. These unique objects combine traditional craftsmanship to innovative vision for the future of sustainable construction, using traditional hand-blown glass from Saint-Gobain’s Verrerie Saint-Just® in France, patterned DECORGLASS® and high-performance and low-carbon ORAE® glass.
Created by Saint-Gobain Research Compiègne, in France, the trophies resonate with the Contest Task of the Architecture Student Contest, which combines renovation and new construction to answer the challenges of modern architecture.
