The Middle Ground

Project description

The nature of the building is that of a spatial mediator which brings together urban, natural, and historical informants in a multi-functional core known as the middle ground, which acts as a missing puzzle piece on an urban scale that connects to the green wedge. The soft, yet eccentric, building form attracts new youth to the area and prioritizes social interaction between residents. In the design sustainability becomes a cheerful expression in winning the hearts of the residents.
