Project description

Traces reinterprets the site’s industrial and maritime heritage, leaving visible imprints of its past. By reusing industrial elements, applying port-inspired logic, and creating pedestrian connections, the yacht club and its surrounding urban area are integrated into a coherent and sustainable whole.

Jaan Kuusemets

Jaan Kuusemets is an Estonian architect and a professor of contemporary architecture at Tallinn University of Technology Academy of Architecture and Urbanism. He is a partner and chief architect at architecture office DAGOpen. Jaan Kuusemets received his higher education in architecture at the TTK University of Applied Sciences in 2006-2010. He obtained his master's degree in architecture at Brandenburg University of Technology in 2012, and in 2010-2012 he also studied architecture at Tel Aviv University, Berlin University of the Arts, Wroclaw University of Technology, University of Sevil
