heARTensity

Project description

heARTensity student housing quarter, located in the centre of Warsaw, got inspiration from Warsaw old town. The main keywords that reflect the project are the layout of building blocks and the construction of volumes and density. The project aims to create calm but engaging living environment inside the block, which would provide a change from the fast-paced city life, while providing opportunities for students to spend time together. This is heARTensity – home and heart for students in Warsaw.

Jaan Kuusemets

Prof. Jaan Kuusemets is an Estonian architect and Professor of Contemporary Architecture at Tallinn University of Technology. He is a partner and chief architect of the architectural firm DAGOpen. He obtained his higher education at the TTK University of Applied Sciences in 2010. In 2012 he received master's degree in architecture from the Brandenburg University of Technology. 2010 - 2012 he also studied at the University of Tel Aviv, Berlin University of the Arts, Technical University of Wroclaw, University of Seville, University of Innsbruck and Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.
