Between Buildings

Project description

“Between buildings” expands the scope of the competition area to the whole Boavista landfill. Building upon the distinct characteristics of the area, the proposal does not shy away from critiquing previous design choices of the district and offering new ideas. The buildings are articulated and open up to public space, creating unpredictable and considerate spaces. The video library cleverly expands its spaces, while the new apartment building emphasizes simplicity and interactiveness.
