Jardin is a living campus merging student-built prototypes with modular, sustainable cabins and a central Laboratory of Co-Creation. It supports flexible living, learning, and building, with a future-focused masterplan that fosters community, innovation, and adaptability across an inspiring, garden-like landscape.

Jonas Büchel, born in the mid-60s in Germany’s Ruhr-area, grew up amidst industry and design, shaping his passion for urban life. He studied photography, design, social work, and cultural management. With 30 years of experience in urban design, social and cultural planning across Europe, Jonas works as an independent planner and community observer. Since 2021, Jonas lectures at the University of Latvia and, since 2022, at RISEBA FAD, focusing on urban sociology, interdisciplinary methods, and spatial planning.
