Social Promenade
Project description
The 「Social Promenade」 project addresses the impact of a high-speed railway passing through Villefontaine and Chimilin by proposing public spaces for pause and encounter. In Chimilin, removing walls improves accessibility, and a promenade invites everyday use and community engagement. In Villefontaine, a linear mass extends the campus axis, with large-span spaces and rooftop gardens connecting nature, residents, and students into a unified, vibrant promenade.
