Project description
Inspired by the existing yacht academy, the old train bridge, and nearby river crossings, the project creates a strong connection between sports, accommodation, and the waterfront. A new bridge links the existing and proposed buildings, while three river-oriented volumes open toward the landscape. The renovation introduces a ventilated facade with high-performance glazing, improving thermal efficiency, natural lighting, passive heating, and protection from wind and summer sun.

Dr. Klodjan Xhexhi currently serves as the Head of the Architecture and Engineering Department at Polis University, Tirana, Albania. Throughout his career, Dr. Xhexhi has demonstrated expertise in both exterior and interior design as well as planning, having designed and implemented numerous significant architectural projects. His scholarly interests encompass construction materials, building technology, sustainable architecture, building energy efficiency, and bioclimatic design. To date, Dr. Xhexhi has published over 70 scientific papers and 2 books.
